Job Description

Our Supply Chain team ensures inventory is consistently available to meet customer demand. We coordinate all aspects of supply through supply planning, sourcing, making, inventory management, packaging and delivery. We partner across the Marketing, Finance and Manufacturing organizations to build a robust demand and supply plan and ensure we get products to the right customer, at the place, at the right time.

Position Overview - Basic Functions & Responsibility

Reporting to the Associate Director Supply Chain Management, the incumbent is responsible for delivering world class logistics capabilities through technology. The incumbent will support global projects that are developing and implementing new technologies to digitize our Company transportation, freight audit and payment, rate management and business intelligence processes.

Primary activities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provides analytical and technical support to enable implementation of new technologies.
  • Monitor EDI interface performance.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing our Company reporting capabilities through big data tools.
  • Creates trend analysis, performance metric reports, productivity evaluations, cost estimates including standard cost estimates, and cost-benefit analysis based on data extracted from internal and external information systems. Collaborate with Regional or Local Logistics resources to implement projects on time and to achieve realization goals.
  • Responsible for maintaining, tracking and analyzing transportation data.
  • Provide reports to management, distribution, and other business units in support of operational and strategic analysis.
  • Responsible for preparing statistical data for contract negotiations and participating in negotiations.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining monthly freight operational reports.
  • Develops monthly Service Level Agreement (SLA) reports in accordance with current contractual agreements. Works with Global Logistics lead in communication of results and providing performance data to suppliers for validation.
  • Providing direct communication on freight trending issues related to transportation or logistics issues via monthly meetings
  • Responsible for coordinating and developing freight supplier QBR's data reports with support from Global Logistics Lead.


Education Minimum Requirement:
  • Bachelor of Science in SCM, Engineering, Business or related field required. Masters degree in Business, SCM or Science discipline preferred.


Required Experience and Skills:
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in Operations Management, Planning, and/or Logistics required
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering results - On time project execution, operational metric improvement, etc. required
  • Consultative skills: ability to influence decision making, ability to interact with all levels of the business (senior leaders to working teams), project management skills, proven team building skills required
  • Strong Business Acumen - results oriented, customer focused, strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage relationships with 3rd parties and drive continuous improvements through data and analytics.


Required Experience and Skills:
  • SCM Broad Background - prior experience in Planning, Transportation.
  • Experience in procurement preferred.
  • Expertise with SAP.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies.
  • Proficient with large and complex data sets. Experience with big data tools like Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire.
  • Proficiency with MS Office including advanced skills in Excel (VBA), SQL.
  • Able to translate business requirements into meaningful reports.
  • Prior experience with data management and ability to understand connection between master data and operational processes.
  • Prior experience with Transportation Management Systems and EDI preferred.
