Summary:
The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and implementing image reconstruction algorithms for both emission and transmission tomography.
The priority of this position includes algorithm development, problem-solving, and product implementation to meet the company’s objectives and long-term goals. Product development concentration will be on image reconstruction software for various radiation detection applications, from portable devices to large systems, especially medical (SPECT/ PET, CT), industrial and scientific applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop reconstruction algorithm for both emission and transmission tomography.
- Generate production code from the developed algorithm.
- Assist product design from conception to execution.
- Manage software repository.
- Communicate progress and achievement status to leadership, R&D partners, and others.
Skills and Experience:
A minimum of three years’ experience in the following areas:
- Iterative reconstruction algorithm development for emission or transmission tomography.
- Monte-Carlo-based simulation tools (Ex. GEANT4…)
- GPU/FPGA-based software acceleration.
- Deep learning reconstruction algorithm development is highly desirable.
- Medical device and imaging system design, prototype, and development are highly desirable.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- A hands-on individual who works well in a team environment.
Education:
Master’s or PhD in Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent.
