Company History
Arconic’s heritage traces back to the founding of Alcoa in 1888, a company whose innovations helped shape modern aerospace, automotive, and architectural industries.
The Arconic name first emerged in 2016 when Alcoa Inc. split into two independent companies—Alcoa Corporation and Arconic Inc. In 2020, Arconic Inc. underwent a second major transformation, separating into Howmet Aerospace and the newly formed Arconic Corporation, focused on advanced rolled aluminum products for aerospace, automotive, commercial transportation, and construction markets.
Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Arconic continues to build on more than a century of materials engineering innovation, delivering lightweight, high?performance aluminum solutions that support the way the world flies, drives, and builds.
